Hirosaki Park (5)

Sakura is the national flower of Japan. It reaches the cherry blossom season in March and April each year and it is a major annual event for Japanese people.

Cherry blossom viewing is the Japanese’s habit for a long time. It can be traced back to the Heian Jidai between the nobles, gradually expanded from the aristocratic activities to the common people, called “hanami”.

Local residents of Japan always gather in groups in the parks of the cherry blossom. Interestingly, not only do Japanese families enjoy viewing cherry blossom with their families, but companies also organize the activity of cherry blossom viewing. Due to a large number of visitors, they usually send the person with the lowest position in the group to occupy the seat several hours in advance. Is this considered bullying? The concept of respecting the older generation is really deeply rooted in Japanese people! It is no wonder that living in Japan is so stressful.

Sitting in the park surrounded by flourishing cherry blossoms, green turf dotted with scattered petals, and the springtime nature makes the mood unconsciously spring up. If the wind blows down the cherry petals to be flower snowflakes, you may fall in love with the person who is beside you immediately. OMG! How does it sound like an aphrodisiac activity?

Most families will go for picnics with some rice balls, sandwiches, and other light meals. You can also buy hanami bento in the department stores if you don’t have time to prepare food. Everyone knows that the Japanese bento is incredibly delicate, so as the hanami bento. In addition to bento, there are many time-limited desserts for cherry blossom season. If you are the person who can’t resist a delicate cuisine, you have to try some hanami desserts.

It is also essential to enjoying some wine beside eating together under the cherry tree. For Japanese people, it is not only for enjoying the scenery, but the event is also the best opportunity for them to relieve stress. At this time, they eat, drink, heart-to-heart talk, and even sing karaoke in the park, the regulated behavior is liberated on this day.

We also saw buskers performing traditional musical instruments that day, and the atmosphere became very literary at once.

The flourishing cherry blossoms, the melodious sound of music, and a pot of sake, it’s so suitable for reciting a few poems.

There are so many tourists in Hirosaki Park. There are also some food stalls nearby. I heard that it’s not delicious at all. If you want to taste Japanese cuisine, it’s not a good choice to eat in the scenic area.

I won’t talk too much anymore. The focus is cherry blossom viewing. Let the photos speak everything.
